8: Tumble weed

22nd April, 2022 10:39

OK. I know, I know, it has been quiet around here for a long time.

99 days to be precise.

I couldn't let it go to 100.

My original intention for these posts was to document technical challenges I had whilst developing Puzzle bouts as well as documenting the journey itself, but frankly I found that doing this put of too much of a burden on me and my focus got shifted away from the actual development itself.

My last entry is a case in point. I talked about my next post being a detailed post about getting random records from a Firestore database.

Don't get me wrong, that is actually a very interesting topic. To me at least. But to actually do it justice was going to take too much time to prepare and by the time I'd finished it I would have lost the momentum on the actual project itself.

So, for the past 99 days (Give or take. I have had some time off). I have been grinding out getting the site to a point where it actually does the core things that my vision for it was.

I am almost there with that, and although what I am about to say is daunting. In fact, a bit terrifying. Deep breath.

I am going to release what I have on the 30th April, 2022

Development will continue after that date but I need users to come along on the journey with me.

My general thinking at the moment is that anyone who registers during this beta period, will be seen as founder members and either get free lifetime membership or at least heavily subsidised membership when I get to the point of charging.

It's going to be an exciting next couple of weeks. I'm really not sure what to expect and like I said I am actually petrified of going public!

See you again soon.

Not 99 days I promise.

Martin.
